In part 3 we focus on the phrase “the end(s) of the earth.”  If you are Jewish and lived then, in the beginning of the 1^st century A.D., how might they have understood this phrase?  It is critical since Jesus says He wants His disciples to go there, go to the “ends of the earth.”  We will then consider Paul.  He is one amazing example of a disciple who also was called to go, and that is what Paul did.  In other words Paul was a disciple who was sent out and so Paul was an apostle.  There is one event in Paul’s many travels, however, that so relates to Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8 that we have been focusing on.  It looks as if Paul followed Jesus’ example to a T.
